Kevin Svagdis

Founder and Chief Motivator

Nurizon at Home® is built on a foundation of service. We provide the very best care to meet your emotional, social, physical, and cognitive needs while empowering you to live and thrive at home.

Kevin Svagdis spent most of his career helping clients and his team members to live their best lives. It’s how he has managed high performance teams and it’s why he founded Nurizon at Home.

His devotion to caring for and serving people was first ignited as a 16 year-old, working in food service at a local hospital. From there he took on the first of many leadership roles, progressing through the hospitality ranks in acute-care hospitals. In 2004, Kevin was appointed president of one of the nation’s most successful senior living hospitality services providers, overseeing dining, environmental and plant operations services for more than 500 retirement communities in 38 states.

Without a doubt, Kevin has developed a deep passion for serving seniors and those who face cognitive or physical disadvantages. He’s seen first-hand how the right kind of care and support can overcome the barriers posed by isolation and limited mobility. He cares for his team as he expects them to care for their clients. And he motivates them with an understanding that independence – the freedom to make choices — is essential for growth. The Nurizon team is challenged daily to help clients nurture the social connections that lead to a full life.

With a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts, Kevin is a raving New England Patriots Fan who loves to play competitive softball and mentor young leaders from diverse backgrounds. He and his wife Melody live in Naples where they enjoy golfing, visiting the area’s beautiful beaches and volunteering for The Alzheimer’s Association. Their older daughter Amanda lives in Atlanta with her husband Jeff; daughter Nicole is a Business student at Arizona State University.
